What time is check-in?
Your room is ready for your arrival anytime between 4pm and 10pm. If you think you might be earlier than 4pm or later than 10pm, please call ahead.
How do I check-in when I arrive?
If you are staying in the main house, please enter the lobby for a touch-free check-in. If you are staying in one of our private cottages, a member of our staff will meet you in the driveway when you arrive to go through any check-in procedures.
When is check-out?
Check-out is at noon.
Is there free Wi-Fi?
Absolutely. All of our rooms and cottages offer Wi-Fi and you can access it from the shared areas of the inn as well (such as the library, patio, and dining room).
What time is breakfast served?
Breakfast will be delivered to your doorstep each morning. Please let us know what time you would like to have it delivered.
How far are you from the University of Oklahoma?
We are located about 1 mile away from OU. Many of our guests enjoy walking it and guests from the university love the proximity for that very reason. And you can walk it any time of the year.
What’s the weather in Norman like?
The weather in Norman is mild most of the time. There is extreme heat in July and August while October and November provide some of our favorite weather during the year.
How far are you from the airport?
The OKC airport is about 25 minutes away and is used by most of our guests who arrive via air.
Is your bed and breakfast accessible in the winter?
Yes! Often we have just a handful of snow-covered days during the entire winter. We are open and accessible to guests year-round. And no matter the time of year, we’re in the heart of Norman with many things to do in nearby areas.
Do you have a pool?
We do not have a pool. However, several of our rooms offer jetted tubs or private hot tubs and there is a beautiful patio and many outdoor living spaces at our inn. Our guests have complimentary use of the Cleveland County YMCA (10 mins by car), which features an indoor pool and a complete state-of-the-art workout facility.
What restaurants do you recommend nearby?
Being a part of the community ourselves, this is one of our favorite questions to answer for guests. Who doesn’t want to eat well when they’re in town? Some of our local favorites include Legends, Tarahumara, Sweet Basil Thai, Scratch, Blu, The Winston, Benvenuti’s, The Diner, Fancy That, Neighborhood J.A.M., The Garage, Sam’s Southern Eatery, and Sergio’s. Most of these are within walking distance of the inn as well.

What is there to do nearby?
Another great thing about being an urban inn is access to great things to do in the heart of Norman. There are so many great things to do like experiencing Campus Corner, OU sports, OU events, museums on campus – Fred Jones and Sam Noble, 2nd Friday Art Walk, Sooner Theatre, Riverwind Casino, Lake Thunderbird, and urban hiking and outdoor park at Sutton Wilderness.
What things are within walking distance to our inn?
The Montford Inn is all about walkability! Sprouts and Walgreens are right around the corner. Walden’s Cleaners and Laundry is an easy walk, as is The Cellar liquor store, Kidoodle’s toy store and office supply, Republic Bank, Andrews Park, City of Norman offices, the public library, not to mention the U.S. Post Office. The Amtrak Train Depot and a bus stop (CART) are right out our door!
Do you have availability for OU football weekends?
We love celebrating a Sooner victory with our guests! Please call well in advance to make a reservation. If we don’t have availability we have a waitlist for any cancellations.
Where can I get gift certificates?
You can purchase gift certificates in person, online, or over the phone. Gift certificates can be used toward any stay or amenity. Gift certificates do not have cash value.
We’re bringing our kids. What kid-friendly activities do you recommend?
Norman is a wonderfully family-friendly town! There are so many great things for families to enjoy together.
Andrews Park is about a block away from the inn and features a splash pad and plenty of space to play. The Pioneer Library System has a branch nearby with storytimes and activities for children. HeyDay is an entertainment complex featuring laser tag, mini-golf, and arcade, and more. Sooner Bowl is fun for the whole family and offers laser bowling (check website for times). And Get Air is an indoor trampoline park – a great way to spend time together!
How far away is Oklahoma City?
We’re an easy 20-minute drive from downtown Oklahoma City, home of the Oklahoma City Thunder. With such close proximity, you can enjoy so much of what OKC has to offer – Riversport Adventures (kayak and canoe sports plus zip lining and more), Myriad Botanical Gardens, OKC Museum of Art, and the Western Heritage Museum.
